July 1st marked the half way mark for 2011. It is often amazing how fast time seems to go and sometimes time can get away from us all. So that half way mark is also a good time to ask yourself if you are meeting your aspirations for this year? I hope your health goals are at the top or near the top because without great health, you can not enjoy the best life has to offer you.
A quick look in the mirror will let you know if you are on the way to reaching your weight loss goals. A review of how you feel most of the time will tell you if you are living a balanced life. Did you plan to spend less time at work and more time with friends and family? Is there too much stress in your life? Are you getting enough quality sleep? The desire to get healthy can be especially strong at the beginning of the year or around birthdays and anniversaries. The problem is that it is hard to sustain the desire long enough to make any progress. Support from other people is essential. Whenever you want to to make a positive change in your life surround yourself with as many supportive people as you can. These can be friends family, or an understanding healthcare professional. Having someone to share your successes and set-backs helps put things in perspective. Timely encouragement may make the difference between reaching your goals and failure.
